Getting there
Unfortunately, our flight was out of BWI at 6:25 p.m. Fortunately, the parents were nice enough to give us a ride up there. I was selected to drive and - after 15 minutes of backseat driving from a one Hans Giesecke and me telling him he should just drive next time - the car ride was very tense at times. We got there after some back and forth discussion about the Missouri School issue (and generally, good driving by yours truly) and were able to find WOW Airlines which we thought we might not be able to, got checked in relatively easily (the guy at the front desk was actually able to upgrade our second leg of the flight from Iceland to Amsterdam for free to give us additional legroom). Now Phoebe and I had done some reading and through reviews and general comments on the blogosphere and interwebs, determined that WOW Airlines was the International, Iclandic cousin of Frontier and Spirit Airlines - suffice to say, we did not expect any amenities or comfort during our travel and fully expected to have to pay additional just have the plane land.
